Have they also told you that magic mushrooms will urge you to do cartwheels in an active volcano? In this page, we’ll be going over some common myths that you may have heard about. We’ll be updating this page regularly, so check in every now and then to see if we’ve added something!

If you have any concerns about something you may have heard about psilocybin that’s not in this page, check the Q&A section or you can use the form at the bottom of the page and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible!

Is it true that magic mushrooms are addicting?

No! Psilocybin is not considered a drug of dependence, past users do not have compulsive drug seeking, and there aren’t even any known withdrawal syndromes. The intensity of psilocybin makes it difficult for people to use on a daily basis and tolerance is built quickly.

In fact, there are promising studies that show psilocybin can actually be used therapeutically to CURE addiction. Check out the sources below to find out more.
